6 PS Players
Each owner is allowed to have any number of players on their team as long as it is below 44 active players.
*Practice Squad Offseason Exception
During the offseason between the start of the league year and the end of the Practice Squad Resigning Period, a team may exceed the limit of 6 players on their Practice Squad. Teams must meet the 6 player limit by the end of the PS Resigning Period.
IR Roster Rules
To place a player on the IR, the player must have missed a game or officially declared out for the upcoming NFL week. When a player is placed on the IR, they must be noted on our message board rosters as "Placed on IR" (In the Team News Board). They will not count against the 44 active player roster limit. But they will continue to count against the salary cap except in special cases. Players who are placed on the NFL PUP list during the preseason qualify for the IR under the "declared out for the upcoming NFL week" section of the rule due to PUP players inability to participate in the first 6 games of the season.
True NFL IR Players don't count against Salary Cap. Also true NFL IR Players can be cut at half (rounded up) their Base Salary (no contract penalty included).
Suspend Roster Rules
Players can also be placed on Suspended Roster if they are officially Suspended from the NFL. During their suspension these players do not count towards a Team's Roster Space or their Salary. However, when their suspension is over, they immediately DO count against the Team's Roster and Salary.
League Deadlines
Trade Deadline is Week 7. No trades of any sort are allowed to happen after Week 7 thru the Playoffs. Trades are allowed once again after our Championship Weekend.
BuyOut Deadline is Week 8. Because the salary "penalty" only counts for one season, this deadline is to help prevent abuse of this oppurtunity for teams experiencing a down season.
PS Lock Deadline is Week 9. After Week 9, additions to PS will be locked. Players on PS can be activated to the Active Roster & FAs can still be signed to the Active Roster. But after Week 8, no players may be placed on PS.
